Following the closure of the 7th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge submissions, over 150 African young change-makers are anxiously waiting to be selected as finalists of the 2025 Challenge. The top three finalists will be announced at the 7th Summit.

According to the organisers in a release,  finalists of the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge will be enrolled in the Africa Tourism Innovation Hub (ATIH), which is situated at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and the Namibia University of Science and Technology.

ATIH aims to accelerate the growth and sustainability of travel and tourism technology start-up companies and entrepreneurship. Finally, finalists will be introduced to potential global funders, mentors and partners to present their projects and secure the necessary business support.

This Summit is scheduled from June 24 to June 27, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya. Meanwhile, registrations to participate in the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit are still underway.

The organisers said, “We invite all young innovators and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector and related fields such as Fintech, Digital Marketing, and Mobility, to register their physical participation at this year’s Summit.”

The summit gathers young change-makers, ministries of tourism, ICT, hospitality policymakers, venture capitalists, international buyers and investors to engage in discussions that will contribute to tourism growth in the African continent. The Summit also provides networking, collaboration, career guidance opportunities, and business growth through a well-organised exhibition. The Innovation Challenge finalists can present their ideas to the judges and potential investors at the Summit.

This year’s Summit will be hosted by Africa Tourism Partners, UN Tourism, and BDO, collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Kenya, TEAMS Africa, and the Kenya Tourism Board. This is the first time that Kenya will host this prestigious event. All stakeholders across the tourism value chain, including the youth, start-ups, and entrepreneurs, are invited to witness and experience another successful event in Magical Kenya.

The exciting 2025 Youth Summit programme will include MICE Masterclasses for youth and entrepreneurs, speed marketing, one-on-one meetings, a career guidance clinic, and brand activation platforms. Do not miss this opportunity.

The organisers encouraged interested participants to visit the event’s website to register now, and take advantage of the discounted rates for the exhibition, and book seat for attendance.
