How to know your Smartphones cracked

For a person who cares about their smartphone and wants to minimise the risk of damage, here are a few things to avoid doing.

1. Using the phone while connected to an electric source

The practice of using a phone while it is connected to an electric source can cause the phone to overheat and potentially explode. It also poses hazards to one’s life, which include the risk of explosion and electrocution.

2. Using a damaged cable or using the wrong charger

Every smartphone is designed to accept a certain degree of electric voltage. This voltage is regulated using the prescribed charger recommended by the manufacturer.

You will damage the motherboard of your device by using a charger that is incompatible with or exceeds the phone’s voltage capacity. Also, using a damaged cable might cause your phone to malfunction.

3. Using the smartphone at a high temperature

Every smartphone is made with flammable chemicals like sodium hydroxide, electrolytes, chlorine acid, and sodium chloride, among others, that can explode when exposed to heat.

Placing the phone on any heating appliance or device, or using the smartphone in a hot environment, is a practice that can damage the hardware components of your smartphone, potentially causing it to overheat and even explode, resulting in physical harm to anyone nearby.

4. Installing apps from unknown sources

According to smartphone experts, it is unsafe to install apps from unknown sources, especially those with an unprotected internet protocol.

Some of these sources or websites contain malicious software applications that, when downloaded to your phone, can cause it to malfunction or be used to extort vital information.

5. Placing smartphone under the pillow

Just as humans need air to survive and breathe, so does your smartphone. People keep their phones under their pillows while sleeping. They do this to protect it from theft and to facilitate easy retrieval.

This practice is detrimental not only to the phone but also to human life.

6. Draining your battery too often

After a few years, phone batteries degrade. The battery life won’t be as high as it was when you first got it. These things are inevitable, but certain practices can shorten the battery life, which can ultimately damage the smartphone.

To avoid draining your battery quickly, recharge your phone before it runs out of power. Don’t let your phone run out of battery before charging it. Try to keep the battery at 30% or higher. By doing so, you will maintain a healthy battery life for an extended period.

Your phone can stay up to date for as long as possible if you avoid these practices that can damage your smartphone.
