The Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has expanded its campaign committees by adding new members to the previously announced list to strengthen coordination, mobilisation, and grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Strengthening the Oyo APM Campaign Council
A statement signed by the Director-General of the Oyo APM Governorship Campaign Council, Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, on Wednesday, said the expansion was designed to improve the council’s operational effectiveness and ensure wider participation in the campaign structure.
According to the statement, a new Community Relations and Voters’ Education Committee has been established, while the existing Mobilisation Committee has been divided into specialised subcommittees to improve coordination and deliver more effective results.
The statement further announced that the expanded campaign committees would be formally inaugurated at the Local Government Hall, Secretariat, on Friday by 3 p.m.
Dr. Adeniran expressed confidence that the additions and restructuring would strengthen the council’s capacity to engage communities, mobilise supporters, promote voter education and coordinate campaign activities across the state.
