Cancer, no doubt, is deadly with no cure for it (insight). However, identifying it earlier and managing it well would elongate the life of a cancer patient. It is good to note that cancer does not really give any specific inklings because most of the symptoms can be reasonably linked to any other disease. However, safer than sorry, here are a few cancer symptoms:
Changes in your skin: Because skin cancer is very common you must be keenly concerned about a new spot on your skin or when an existing spot on your body changes colour, size or shape. It could be a Cancer symptom. You should consider seeing a doctor for bioposy to be sure.
Nagging cough: Most often, if you are not a smoker but you have a nagging cough, it is lightly to be cancer. What is more likely that is caused by postnasal drip, asthma, acid reflux, or an infection. However, if you are a smoker and have a cough with blood, do consult a doctor, who will have to perform tests on your mucus.
Breast changes: While breast cancer is normal, changes in breast is also normal. But, it is important to do a test on your breast on a monthly basis to be sure. If there is redness, pain, any lump, nipple change or thickening consult a doctor who will then perform a thorough test.
Bloating: You may experience bloating because you are full or stressed but if it does not get better and you have fatigue, back pain and weight loss; consult a doctor.
Problems when you pee: Many men have prostate problems when they grow old. They sometimes have to go to the bathroom often and have leaks, which can be linked to prostate old age problem but also to prostate cancer, which is why it is advised to consult a doctor.
Swollen Lymph Nodes: Swollen lymph nodes are signs of fatigue, stress and infections but there are some cancers like lymphoma and leukaemia can also cause this kind of swelling. Talk to your doctor.
Blood when you use the bathroom: If you see blood before or after you go to the bathroom, it is time that you consult a doctor because bloody stool comes from swollen, inflamed veins called haemorrhoids, but there’s a chance it could be colon cancer. Blood in your pee could be a problem like a urinary tract infection, but it may be kidney or bladder cancer.
Testicles changes: If you see a lump or swelling in your testicles you need to see a doctor because the most common sign of testicle cancer is a painless lump.
