University of Ibadan Alumni Organises 2022 Annual Quiz Competition

The The University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Oyo State branch, will hold the preliminary stage of its annual quiz competition this October.

This is stated in a release made available to journalists and signed by the Alumni Chairman, Oloyede Kolawole and Secretary, Akindele Kazeem.

The release also disclosed that the quiz competition is one of the association’s educational outreach programmes, aimed at helping to resuscitate the educational values in public secondary schools in Oyo State and Nigeria.

The alumni further revealed that the preliminary stage of the annual quiz competition is slated to be held between 11th and 14th October among 450 secondary schools in Oyo State.

The 450 secondary schools invited for this year’s edition of the quiz competition have been grouped into 10 zones, which cover the entire Oyo State.

While giving a breakdown of the zoning, the chairman stated that the schools were zoned accordingly.

“In Ibadan zone 1 we have Wesley College, Elekuro, Ibadan; In Ibadan zone 2, we have Urban Day Grammar School, Olaogun Old Ife road, Ibadan; Ibadan zone 3, Oke Bola Comprehensive High School, Oke Bola Ibadan; Ibarapa zone 1 Igboora High School, Igboora; Ogbomosho zone 1 Anglican Grammar School, Ogbomosho; Ogbomosho zone 2, Iresaadu Grammar School, Iresaadu; Saki zone 1, Baptist Secondary School, Saki; Kajola zone 1 Okeho-Iganna High School, Okeho; Igboho zone 1 UMCA Ogunbode Memorial Grammar School, Igbeti.

However, Oloyede, the chairman of the association, stated that the next and final stage of the competition would be held between next month and January 2023.
