The delegates participating in the Ipada Carnival 2024, led by the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Lola Ade-John, have arrived at the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, State.
Ipada, an initiative of Motherland Beckons promoter and President of La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Ambassador Wanle Akinboboye, is an all-year-round return that culminates in an annual celebration known as the Ipada Carnival, honouring the return of people of African ancestry.
The historic 10-day carnival, which promises to bring people of African descent from all over the world to experience a renaissance that will be second to none, will feature Carnival, the Queen of Africa beauty pageant, fashion shows, live music performances, art exhibitions, and culinary experiences from 54 countries in Africa and 5 countries in the Caribbean.
The Ipada Carnival 2024, which is scheduled to be held between November 28 and December 8, 2024, is expected to attract over 10 million tourists to Nigeria and other African countries on an annual basis.
Ipada Carnival Delegates Tour La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort
The delegates for the Ipada Carnival 2024 briefing, led by the Tourism Minister, Ms Lola Ade-John, took an extensive tour of the resort’s grounds to familiarise the attendees with the resort’s unique blend of natural beauty and traditional African hospitality, highlighting its potential as a premier destination for cultural tourism.
The Tourism Minister and other members of the delegation, which included, State Commissioners for Tourism, Director-Generals, Permanent Secretaries, Tourism Administrators, and other key stakeholders, began the tour shortly after their arrival.
Guided by the resort’s staff, they explored various sections of the expansive property, which is known for its pristine beaches, lush greenery, and a harmonious blend of African and modern architecture.
As the delegates walked through the serene surroundings of Lacampagne Tropicana Beach Resort, they were introduced to several key features that make the resort a unique cultural haven.
Throughout the tour, the delegates expressed admiration for the resort’s dedication to promoting African culture while providing a luxurious and relaxing environment for guests. They noted that La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort stands as a testament to how cultural heritage can be seamlessly integrated into modern tourism.
