Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the Senate Committee Chairman on INEC, would on Monday be honoured with the prestigious award of “Responsive Representation for Good Governance” by the Senate Press Corps.
This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen.
The Senate Press Corps in its separate letters dated November 19 and December 10, said the award was in recognition of his outstanding contributions to good governance and responsive legislative representation.
The award, according to the Senate Press Corps, is a testament to the Senator’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and good governance.
The conferment ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall of Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, on Monday, December 16.
Senator Alli has expressed gratitude to the Senate Press Corps for acknowledging his efforts in advancing the welfare of his constituents and promoting democratic values through effective representation.
“I appreciate the Senate Press Corps for this recognition and invites all stakeholders to join him at the event,” he said.
Alli, a firm believer in servant leadership, has consistently demonstrated commitment to the growth and development of Oyo South Senatorial District and it’s inhabitants.
The lawmaker reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Oyo South as well as Nigeria with renewed vigour and determination.
His legislative initiatives and constituency interventions have significantly impacted various sectors, including education, health care, infrastructure, rural development and food security.
This award underscored the senator’s efforts in ensuring that the principles of democracy are upheld in the legislative process, particularly in his role as Senate Committee Chairman on Electoral Matters.
