All arrangements have been concluded to give Madam Cecilia Idowu Layonu Olanusi (nee Omisore) a befitting burial.
The children of the deceased, Modupe Famoriyo Kuti (UK-based) and Dr. Tokunbo Adegoke (US-based), disclosed this to journalists while speaking on the telephone.
According to them, the Christian Wake Keep has been scheduled to be held on February 20, 2025, at RCCG, Holy Ghost Power Cathedral, Oyo Province 2 Headquarters, 1, Redemption Way, Oluwonla, Bashorun/New Bodija, Ibadan Oyo State, by 4pm.
On the following day, February 21, 2025, by 10am, the funeral service will be held at RCCG, Holy Ghost Power Cathedral, Oyo Province 2 Headquarters Number 1 Redemption Way, Oluwonla, Bashorun/New Bodija Area, Ibadan, Oyo State, while interment will follow immediately at St. James Cathedral Cemetery, Ijokodo, Ibadan and reception will take place at Daylan Event Hall, Poly Road, Eleyele, Ibadan the same day.
People from home and the Diaspora, political icons, business stakeholders, celebrities, and others are expected to attend the final burial ceremony.
