The internal crisis rocking the Oyo State Chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) today took a different dimension as Alhaji Kola Balogun’s faction of the Party decided to join the ongoing suit instituted by Yinka Folahan and currently before the Honourable Justice Akintola of the State’s High Court 7, Ibadan.
The faction headed by Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Balogun made this known by his lawyer while appearing before the court today.
The ongoing case we gathered is between Yinka Folahan’s faction of the SDP and the Okunlade Micheal Aderoju’s faction.
The case has been adjourned to the 7th day of June.
Though the defendant’s lawyer, Barrister Michael Lana (SAN) expressed readiness to go on with the case, he equally told the court that he is also a member and gubernatorial aspirant of the party.
However counsel to the Plaintiff, Alabi-Oyo asked for adjustment for him to be able to serve all parties involved in the suit, which put on hold the Balogun’s application to join the ongoing suit.
