Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre, one of Nigeria’s leading Tourism promoters and advocates, has received recognition for his dedication to the expansion and advancement of tourism throughout the nation and the world.
Ojo-Lanre, a Senior Special Assistant to Dr Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti State, received the Origo Award’s Tourism Champion honour in Canada.
The former Tourism and Hospitality editor of the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper was awarded for his tireless promotion of Tourism in Nigeria.
Part of his strides towards Tourism promotion and development in Nigeria we’re papers he presented to the Senate on the NIHOTOUR and NTDC Bill. Ojo-Lanre also has called for the establishment of a separate tourism ministry by the state and federal governments in Nigeria. As a journalist, he has covered the industry for more than 10 years.
