As Muslims across the country gather to mark Eid-el-Kabir 2026, the federal lawmaker representing the Ibadan North-west and Ibadan South-west constituency, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has sent out an urgent message of unity and resilience.

Hon. Olajide also extended his warmest greetings to the faithful celebrating Eid-el-Kabir in Oyo State and across the nation. Amidst evolving socio-economic conditions, his address bridges cultural celebration with critical national reflections.

Olajide Odidiomo Champions Community Values in Oyo South

The message, delivered through his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, placed human values at the absolute centre of the festive season. The Oyo South senatorial aspirant, known as Odidiomo, urged Muslims to continue to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion and peaceful co-existence as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

The federal lawmaker described Eid-el-Kabir as a season of love, charity and total submission to the will of almighty Allah, stressing the need for Nigerians to remain united and committed to the collective peace and progress of the country.

According to him, the festival’s significance goes beyond celebration. He noted that it serves as a reminder of the values of selflessness, humanity and faith, even in difficult times.

In a period marked by shifting legislative landscapes, this statement marks a crucial moment in Nigerian political news. The lawmaker directly addressed the current challenges facing the population, linking spiritual devotion to civic duty.

Olajide further called on Muslim faithful to use the occasion to pray for peace, security, economic stability and sustainable development in Oyo State and Nigeria at large. “As we celebrate this sacred festival of Eid-el-Kabir, I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to promote peace, unity, tolerance and love within our communities. This season reminds us of the importance of sacrifice, compassion and service to humanity,” he stated.

A Call to Support the Less Privileged During Eid-el-Kabir 2026

True leadership shines when it protects the most vulnerable. The Oyo South senatorial aspirant also appealed to residents to continue to support one another, particularly the less privileged and vulnerable members of society, in the spirit of the celebration.

He noted that the country is presently passing through socio-economic and security challenges requiring collective prayers, responsible leadership and mutual understanding among citizens.

Empowering the Youth for Future Leadership

Turning his attention to the next generation, Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide stressed that the future of the region relies heavily on the actions of its young citizens. He equally encouraged youths to remain hopeful, law-abiding and committed to productive engagements capable of contributing positively to society.

The lawmaker expressed appreciation to the people of Oyo State for their continued support, goodwill and confidence in his leadership over the years, assuring them of his sustained commitment to effective representation, grassroots development and service to humanity, and prayed that almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices and acts of worship of Muslim faithfuls and blesses the land with peace, prosperity and progress.
