Novelty Match: Celebrities, Fans Hail Solat Telecoms, Ayegbajeje

Alhaji Ganiyu Hammed, the business mogul and Chairman of Solat Telecoms brought all “On Air” celebrities together at the recently concluded second edition of the annual football fiesta. The fiesta occurred at the prestigious Lead City University football pitch, making it an excellent event.

The event, which was organised by the popular sport radio presenter Sola Ayegbajeje popularly called “Ayegbasport,” and sponsored by Solat Telecoms under the chairmanship of Alhaji Ganiyu Hammed, started by 5pm prompt with the National Anthem, followed by handshakes of the Chairman, Solat Telecoms, Alhaji Ganiyu Hammed and Chairman, Oyo NUJ, Comrade Ademola Babalola, with celebrities on the pitch who later performed the kick off-ceremony.

The celebrities that participated in the event such as the brand ambassador of Solat Telecoms and Ex-Super Eagles player, Dele Adeleye, could not hide their joy showering encomium on Alhaji Hammed and the organizer, Ayegbajeje, urging them not to relent on what they have started but rather moved it higher.

Similarly, the Publisher and Managing Director, Celebrity Magazine, Chief (Mrs.) Folasade Akintola thanked Alhaji Hammed and Ayegbasport for a job well done.

Ayegbajeje, in his vote of thanks, lauded Chairman Solat Telecoms for the support given to him, stating that if not for his financial support, he would not have been able to organize the great event.

Ayegbajeje said, “It was a thing of joy to see the huge support from my colleagues but before I go further, I would like to thank all dignitaries here. I’m overwhelmed to have been surrounded by important personalities in the state. I also want to thank the Oyo State Football Association, Oyo State Football Referees Council, Coaches Association, GRAFTADEEN, Shooting Stars Supporters’ Club, Staff of Vintage 93.7 FM, Staff of Celebrity Magazine and many others that I cannot remember just now

To my friends and colleagues as well as fans of all the participated celebrities in Oyo State, I am grateful for being part of the pet project that I hold closely to my heart.

The Chairman of Solat Telecoms in his own remarks, thanked all the celebrities, dignitaries and fans present at the occasion for their love to Solat Telecoms and promised to continue bringing unity among the Journalist both prints and electronics media in Oyo State.

On-air personalities that participated in the novelty match included General Manager, Splash/Lagelu FM, Tunde Olawuwo; Station Head, Fresh FM, Abeokuta, Samson Akindele; Imoyosola Adetoro; Bayo Faleke; Kenny Ogunmiloro; Enitan Olusegun Bamidele popularly called EOB and new member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Waheed Akintayo popularly called ” Ilumoka

Others were Abiala Dahunsi aka “Kaka”; Babatunde Saheed, popularly called “Mr. Sports”; Olawale Hamzat; “Lori Papa” Afeez Mohammed popularly called” Cantona”; Adesina Jagunmade “PAJ 1”; Jubril Arowolo popularly called “Didun losan o so”; Samuel Ibikunle popularly called” ArugboBoisi”; Dr. Samuel Gbesabi and host of others.
