In demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents, Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has distributed more palliatives to alleviate the economic hardship the people face

This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, which was made available to newsmen on Saturday in Ibadan.

The senator’s generous gesture saw several bags of rice distributed to traders in at least 40 markets within the Oyo South Senatorial District.

The ongoing distribution is expected to reach the remaining markets in Ibadan, including Ido and subsequently move to markets in the three local governments in Ibarapa.

The palliative, which was distributed to traders irrespective of ethnic, religious or political affiliation, reached communities that have been grappling with the impact of the nation’s economic challenges.

Among the markets that benefited from Senator Alli’s palliative distribution initiative were Inalende, Oke-Itunu, Gbaremu, Apata, Sango, Mokola Oja, Bodija Plank Market, Bodija Food Stuff Market, Scout Camp, Alagbo, Bode, Akilapa and Idi-Arere.

Also touched were Idi-Ikan, Owode, Agbokojo, Eleyele (Danjuma), Eleyele main market, Oranyan, Bashorun, Orita-Aperin (South-East), Orita-Aperin (North-East), Ayeye Ibikunle, Agbaje, Abeni, Labaowo Abe-Igi, Old Gbagi, and Bodija Youth Association, among others.

The palliative distribution’s widespread reach underscores Senator Alli’s commitment to ensuring that vulnerable community members receive much-needed assistance during challenging times.

Leaders of the markets that benefited from the palliatives expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Senator Sharafadeen Alli for his consistent support and generosity.

Imam Olanrewaju Adedokun, Babaloja of Owode Market in Ibadan, conveyed his gratitude to the Senator for remembering them during this period of economic hardship.

He prayed for blessings and strength for Senator Alli, expressing hope that all his heart’s desires would be granted.

Mr. Azeez Mustapha, Babaloja-General of the Sango Market, also appreciated Senator Alli, highlighting the Senator’s ongoing assistance and material support to the market community.

He recounted how Senator Alli had sent a team to assess the damage caused by a fire incident in the market and provided roofing sheets to aid the reconstruction efforts.

Mustapha acknowledged the recent distribution of rice as part of the Senator’s efforts to alleviate economic hardships market traders face.

Chief Olanrewaju Tewogbade, the Babaloja of Scout Camp Market, echoed the sentiments of gratitude and appreciation for Senator Alli’s continuous distribution of palliatives to the market.

He praised the Senator’s unwavering support and generosity, praying for divine blessings upon him.

Mr. Waliyu Aderoju, the Chairman of Bodija Plank Market, commended Senator Alli for his exceptional support and assistance beyond expectations.

He described Senator Alli as a beacon of hope and a true ally to the market community, emphasising the importance of standing by the Senator in times of need.

The overwhelming expressions of gratitude and appreciation from market leaders underscored the positive impact of Senator Sharafadeen Alli’s palliative distribution efforts in Oyo South Senatorial District.

Some other market leaders said that Alli’s consistent support, generosity, and commitment to the welfare of the people serve as a beacon of hope and solidarity during challenging times.

They said that Alli’s actions exemplified true leadership and compassion, reflecting his dedication to serving the needs of his constituents and uplifting communities across the district.

According to them, Alli has set a commendable example for public service and community engagement through his continued efforts to alleviate economic hardships and support vulnerable populations.
